Understanding Government Funded Childcare
In the UK, families are entitled to a range of government-funded childcare options designed to support early learning and development. At Dalling Montessori, we proudly participate in these schemes to help parents access the best possible start for their children.
Our Funded Childcare Offerings
Eligible working parents of children from 9 months old will be able to register to access 15 hours of government-funded childcare a week, with the offer beginning from September 2024.
All three and four-year-old children are entitled to 15 hours of free early education per week for 38 weeks of the year. This funding is available from the term after your child turns three until they start school.
Working parents of three and four-year-olds may be eligible for an additional 15 hours per week, totalling 30 hours of free childcare. This is also available for 38 weeks of the year, or can be stretched across more weeks with fewer hours per week.
Certain two-year-old children may also be eligible for 15 hours of free childcare per week, depending on the family’s circumstances and eligibility criteria.
How to Apply
Applying for government-funded childcare at Dalling Montessori is a straightforward process. Our team is here to assist you every step of the way. Here’s how you can get started:
For three and four-year-old funding, all children are eligible for the 15 hours. For 30 hours, you must meet certain employment criteria.
For 9 month old and two-year-old funding, eligibility is based on specific criteria such as income and benefits.
Complete our registration form, which you can find on our website or request from our office.
Provide proof of your child’s date of birth and your eligibility status for the funding.
Once your registration is complete, we will guide you through the process of claiming your funded hours.
You will need to sign a parental declaration form each term to confirm the number of hours your child will attend.
